Disney Princesses on Ice

One of the more prominent memories of my childhood is going to the Ice Capades. My sister and I loved the Smurfs more than anything else and when they came to town on ice skates we were elated! Times have certainly changed and Peyton knows nothing of the "little blue devils" but she has the same love for all things princess. When the huge billboard appeared on Bandywood with all 7 princesses plus Tinker Bell and I saw through the rearview mirror the look on my daughter's face, I knew we would have to go.

We went with Beth, Natalie and Ellie (a good friend of the Guest family), and were able to get pretty descent seats. Now imagine thousands of little girls each in there favorite princess costume with eyes so big you think they are going to pop with sheer delight! Peyton went as Snow White and Natalie as Ariel. The show proved to be everything they had hoped for with familier songs and cool acrobats (and amazingly not too annoying even from an adult's perspective). Even the male counterparts were there to lift their true loves high into the sky.

They stayed in this same trance the entire time!

And of course there had to be cotton candy for this special occasion.

Here are a few glimpses of what made the show so magical (yes, I know they are blurry but you get the idea).

FUN!! Eight or so months before the storm hit Disney Princesses were supposed to be in Biloxi......(much to my dismay, we didn't get tickets because my boys of course weren't interested even though mommy was!!) Well, something happened and it was postponed. A few weeks before the storm hit it was back on & much to my boys delight the princesses couldn't make it back but Monster's Inc did. We managed to get tickets and it is truly amazing what a production those things are. (By the way.....we get something here called the boomerang channel and it's all old cartoons like the smurfs, snorks, scooby, tom & jerry, etc. The boys love it.....they just don't make cartoons like they use to!!) ~Leslie
